There is no rational reason.
No reason, just ignorance and fear.
I hope they can go to one of the states that allow them to marry...not wait till California makes it lawful.

I like your comment on cjane. I had a stillbirth at the end of much wanted pregnancy. I will say this - I have never believed in God or gods. I am very glad that I do not. Among other things, I think it would hurt very much to believe that you are being singled out for that kind of pain.
I don't like cjane's post today. I don't know how you can write those things and not consider how people might feel (especially if you have experienced some of the pain). She is not a special snowflake that God has blessed. If you follow Stephanie's blog, you will see that she posted (again) today about how much she would like to have another baby. I don't know how Stephanie feels about her sister's blog, but I know that I would find it hurtful. I find many of cjane's posts to be sheltered and self-absorbed. That might be acceptable for a young person. She, however, is old enough to know and do better. Just my two cents...sorry.
